◽ ऐतिहासिक महत्व: शोधकर्ताओं और इतिहासकारों के अनुसार, यह मूर्ति लगभग 900 साल पुरानी है, यानी 12वीं सदी के काकतीय राजवंश के शासनकाल की है। मूर्ति की निर्माण शैली, आभूषणों का डिज़ाइन और इसकी बेहतरीन नक्काशी काकतीय युग की मूर्तिकला के उच्च स्तर और उस समय की समृद्ध कला-संस्कृति को दर्शाती है।
◽ संरक्षण के उपाय: इस महत्वपूर्ण धरोहर के मिलते ही तेलंगाना राज्य पुरातत्व विभाग को सूचित कर दिया गया। वर्तमान में पुरातत्व विभाग के विशेषज्ञों की टीम मूर्ति की जांच कर रही है और इसे सुरक्षित रूप से संरक्षित करने के लिए आवश्यक कदम उठा रही है।

सबसे दिलचस्प बात यह है कि, 'तेलंगाना टुडे' की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, लगभग तीन साल पहले जब नदी का जल स्तर कम हुआ था, तभी स्थानीय लोगों ने मादाराम गांव के पास पेद्दावागु धारा की रेत में मूर्ति का सिर देखा था।
उस समय किसी ने इसे नदी से बाहर नहीं निकाला था, जिसके कारण यह रेत में ही दबी रही। हाल ही में नदी का जल स्तर फिर से कम होने पर पूरी मूर्ति दिखाई देने लगी।
तेलंगाना राज्य पुरातत्व विभाग के सहायक निदेशक डी. बुज्जी ने बताया, "हमें खबर मिली है कि कटाराम मंडल में स्थानीय लोगों ने भगवान विष्णु की एक मूर्ति बरामद की है। हम घटनास्थल का दौरा करेंगे और मूर्ति की जांच के बाद ही इसे स्थानांतरित करने के बारे में निर्णय लिया जाएगा।"
मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, काले ग्रेनाइट पत्थर से बनी यह मूर्ति करीब 5 फीट ऊंची है। हालांकि मूर्ति की नाक और उंगलियों में थोड़ा नुकसान हुआ है, फिर भी इसका अधिकांश हिस्सा बरकरार है। यह खोज तेलंगाना की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत पर प्रकाश डालती है और यह भी स्पष्ट करती है कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए प्राचीन कलाकृतियों को संरक्षित करना अत्यंत आवश्यक है।

The most interesting thing is that, according to a report by 'Telangana Today', about three years ago when the water level of the river decreased, locals had spotted the head of the idol in the sand of the Peddavaagu stream near Madaram village.
At that time, no one had pulled it out of the river, as a result of which it remained buried in the sand. Recently, as the water level of the river decreased again, the entire idol became visible.
Assistant Director of the Telangana State Archaeology Department, D. Bujjii, stated, "We have received information that locals have recovered an idol of Lord Vishnu in Kataram mandal. We will visit the spot, and a decision on relocating it will be taken only after examining the idol."
According to media reports, this idol made of black granite stone is about 5 feet tall. Although the nose and fingers of the idol have suffered slight damage, most of it remains intact.
